China Higher Education Expo, formerly known as the National Higher Education Instrument and Equipment Exhibition founded in the autumn of 1992, was included in the ‘Ministry of Commerce Guiding Support Exhibition’ in 2015, and formally joined hands with Reed Sinopharm in 2016, integrating the advantages of cross-border co-operation, and the China Association of Higher Education was selected as one of the first batch of key enterprises in the exhibition industry by the Ministry of Commerce (exhibition organiser) in 2017. In 2017, China Society of Higher Education was selected as one of the first batch of key contact enterprises in the exhibition industry by the Ministry of Commerce (exhibition organiser), and in January 2018, the exhibition was officially upgraded to China Higher Education Expo with the approval and consent of the Ministry of Education. After the renaming of the fair, it will co-exist in various forms, such as exhibition, conference and forum, competition activities, etc., to show the achievements of China's higher education, serve the construction of a strong country of higher education, and create a national business card of higher education. 

 The Higher Education Expo is held twice a year in spring and autumn, and after 31 years, it has been successfully held for 60 times and travelled through 25 cities. The 60th Higher Education Expo will be successfully held in Qingdao Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 12-14 October 2023, and the main activities of this year's Higher Education Expo will consist of ‘Exhibitions’, ‘Conferences and Forums’, ‘Special Events’, ‘Higher Education Forums’, ‘Higher Education Forums’ and ‘Higher Education Forums’. The main activities of this year's fair are composed of five plates, namely ‘exhibition’, ‘conference’, ‘forum’, ‘featured activities’, ‘high-end release’ and ‘cloud push’, and six exhibition areas will be set up. The exhibition area will be 100,000 square metres, with more than 1,000 exhibitors, 100,000 professional visitors, 15 million online visitors, over 85% coverage of colleges and universities, more than 1,000 leaders of participating colleges and universities, 14 participating academicians, and 54 conference forums. The 61st Hi-Tech Expo will be held in April 2024 at Fuzhou Strait International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
